Energy Efficiency Modules
Energy Efficiency Modules
FTE (Full Transcritical Efficiency) is a technology designed by Kysor Warren Epta US to improve the energy efficiency of conventional transcritical CO2 systems. FTE operates on the intermediate pressure side of the CO2 refrigeration cycle, specifically on the suction side of medium-temperature evaporators.
The goal is to reduce superheat in the medium-temperature evaporators to accommodate more refrigerant and raise their suction temperature/pressure. This will consequently increase the suction pressure of the medium-temperature compressors, reducing the compression ratio and thus lowering the system's energy consumption.
